Implementing Regulation of PDPL Article 6 gives individuals the right to request a copy of their personal data that is held by a Controller. The data must be provided in a readable and accessible format—usually an electronic copy, though a printed version may be requested if feasible.
However, this right is not absolute. It cannot be used in ways that might infringe on the rights of others—for example, by exposing trade secrets or other people’s data. When fulfilling a request, the Controller must ensure that only the requesting individual’s data is shared.
Subject to the provisions of Article (16) of the Law, the Data Subject has the right to request a copy of their Personal Data in a readable and clear format, subject to the following:

When granting a Data Subject access to their Personal Data, the Controller shall ensure that it does not involve disclosing Personal Data that identifies another individual.
